Marble League 2025: High Noon

The O’rangers had themed the league around sand, cacti and tumbleweeds, but Orlango was more than that- it was the meeting place of ocean, desert, field, and swamp. The O’Marbles farmed the flat and fertile lands, but while the orange groves had a lot of charm, they weren’t exactly flashy. Pinky Winky found Billy relaxingContinue reading “Marble League 2025: High Noon”

Marble League 2025: Sunset

Orlango’s beach was perfect for a postcard — its sun-kissed sands and glittering waves, its cotton-white clouds in the sky which were trimmed with silver in daytime and gold in sunset, its seafoam which swirled in hypnotic eddies, round and round.

ML2024 Memo #5: Beyond The Horizon

Glidavik’s limited daylight had run out by the time all the decorations were put up, but it was just as well. As Bumble rounded the corner, Foggy connected the plugs, causing all the lights to turn on at once and a gasp of delight from the captain.

“Thank you so much for your help,” smiled Bumble as Foggy descended.

ML2023 Memo #16: Faster Than the Eye Can Bee

Watching Red Eye, Bumble and Pinky Panther vanish with their coaches into the podium preparation room, one they hadn’t come close to stepping into themselves, left Speedy feeling strangely deflated. Another championship was on the line and they’d only advanced a single place in the order. Keeping the overall bronze was a cold comfort, though they were sure they’d feel differently on the podium later.

It was Rapidly who approached them first after the race, bringing them off to the side.

ML2023 Memo #10: A Bitter Taste

A silver medal finish would be worthy of celebration to many. It wasn’t gold by any means, but to have beaten fourteen other teams and given the chance to stand on the podium was usually just enough to drown out the woes of what could have been. Usually, anyways; if you happened to be ThunderContinue reading “ML2023 Memo #10: A Bitter Taste”

First was a comics convention, second was a busy cafe, now was an arcade in the middle of the city. Not practiced enough to play anything on theirContinue reading “M1S5 Memo #3: Like Blossoms On The Water”

What unites all these 40 racers is a passion that has not faded. They take on the track for a chance to win – to record their name in history. Project Marblearth looks back at where they come from, along with their hopes going forward.

Hearts Aflutter and Minds Abuzz

Fragmented rose-pink clouds decorated the orange-yellow sky. A thin morning haze hung over the city streets down below. The moon had disappeared beneath the horizon and the sun, burning the wispy edges of the clouds with its light, had emerged in its place.

The cycle of the heavens was beginning anew, and a new day was breaking over Buzznya.

ML2023 Memo #6: All is Fair in Tug-of-War

During their MFC days, the Pinkies had begun a victory tradition. For each medal earned, they would get an at-table barbecue and follow it with a round of karaoke. It had continued until the 2022 League, where blowing their voices out after every piece of hardware earned quickly became incompatible with the sheer and suddenContinue reading “ML2023 Memo #6: All is Fair in Tug-of-War”

ML2023 Memo #5: Running Fast, Running Past

On Snowy’s bedroom wall hung two individual golds.  The first they’d earned during S1’s Short Circuit GP. There they’d learned that to stand alone on the top step of the podium was an incomparable experience.  The second was from the 2022 Showdown’s Sand Rally, the final event, before which the Snowballs had been sixteenth andContinue reading “ML2023 Memo #5: Running Fast, Running Past”
